In a step that reflects its commitment to enhancing the quality of education and scientific research, Sheikan College in El-Obeid organized, on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, the graduation research discussion sessions for the second batch of students in the Nursing Sciences Program. The sessions were attended by the college leadership, faculty members, and research supervisors.
The discussion sessions were attended by Professor Ahmed Abdalla Agabeldour, Chairman of the College Board of Trustees, and Professor Abdelsalam Mohammed Hamed Elfaki, Dean of the College, along with the Secretary of Academic Affairs, the College Registrar, the Coordinator of the Nursing Sciences Program, faculty members, and research supervisors. They followed the students’ scientific presentations and discussed with them the findings of their research and its relevance to health issues and community needs.
The Coordinator of the Nursing Sciences Program, Dr. Aisha Alnour Dafallah, affirmed that the discussion of graduation research represents an important academic milestone in the students’ journey. She added that it aims to develop students’ skills in scientific research, analysis, and critical thinking, while linking theoretical knowledge with practical application. This contributes to preparing qualified nursing cadres with the scientific and professional competence required to serve the health sector.
The research projects addressed a number of topics related to nursing and healthcare, reflecting the efforts made by the students under the supervision of a distinguished group of faculty members and research supervisors, who guided the students and helped them acquire scientific research methodology in accordance with academic standards.
This batch is the second group of Nursing Sciences students to graduate from Sheikan College since its establishment in 2019, confirming the college’s continued role in supplying the health sector with qualified professionals capable of contributing to the development of healthcare services and meeting labor market needs.
